About me
My name is Briana Peil and I have lived in Wisconsin for most of my life. Most of my life, I spent in my own world, wrapped up in whatever I had going on at the time. I have two kids, ages 6 and 4, who are my world. I am a homeschooler and also am currently enrolled in online classes to get my BA in communications which I will eventually use to obtain a career in journalism which I have wanted since childhood.
I enjoy many things, like reading, writing, knitting, crocheting, and learning, but what I have become most passionate about lately is the state of this nation that was once a seemingly great one. I have always felt contempt for the corruption that is displayed in our government and have been suspicious of all politicians, especially after reading Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell, but never cared much to do anything about it other than be an informed voter. Nine times out of ten, it came down to voting for the lesser of two evils. I have found this unacceptable. In recent months, I have grown more and more dissatisfied with the state of things in this country. I find it hard to believe that so many people would refuse to see what is right in front of their faces and wake up to the reality that our government is not looking out for the best interests of its citizens. I reallize that any system that is created by flawed human beings is inherently flawed itself. This seems to be common sense to me. The most important thing to me right now is the security of the liberty of my children and future generations.
I joined Campaign For Liberty this year and I hope to find many ways to contribute. I am currently working on a project to make and sell hand-knit and crocheted goods for the benefit of this and other liberty-minded organizations. I am also looking forward to the day in the near future, hopefully next year, when I will be moving to New Hampshire to be an active participant in the Free State Project.
